Our premier service packages—the Cremation Honor Plan and the Tribute Burial Plan — include all the professional services associated with the funeral planning process, including administrative services of the funeral director; local transfer of the deceased from place of death into our care; the embalming procedure along with dressing, casketing and cosmetology of the deceased; use of our facilities, staff and equipment for a wake/viewing and visitation period (up to 3 hours); coordinating and directing funeral services either at a place of worship or at one of our funeral homes; a lead and/or utility vehicle for the cemetery procession; the cemetery committal service; use of the hearse and one limousine; and any pallbearer services, if needed.
Cremation is a popular choice in our area, but even among those who favor the cremation procedure, most families still have a desire to hold an open-casket public or private viewing for family and friends. We fully support any individual person’s decision to view or not to view their deceased loved one. The experience of grief—and all the rituals we perform in the midst of bereavement—are vitally important to us and we take them seriously, which is why if someone is unsure about whether or not to view their deceased loved one, we will almost always encourage viewing. Research has shown that viewing has a clear cognitive and emotional benefit, and the Cremation Honor Plan takes this into consideration.
In addition to the items mentioned above, the Cremation Honor Plan includes:
Plan Provisions
The Family Tribute Plan encompasses every aspect of a funeral service with a casketed burial at a cemetery of your choosing. In addition to the wake/visitation and funeral service, the funeral home staff will plan, coordinate, and direct the cemetery committal service with the casketed remains of the deceased. This package allows for all the service elements listed above, as well as:
